No, evolution is a fact and a theory. I'm not sure what you called a hypothesis.

If you think a fact is only something observed entirely by a still living human being, than the holocaust is not a fact either. Shortly there will be no living humans who actually observed even a part of it. There never was one human who saw all of it. We don't even have documentation for ALL of it. Are ancient historical observations facts or not for you? How do you decide?

Living humans have observed speciation, and in fact there are currently research trials which are putting numerical numbers on rates of speciation. But no human can ever observe the totality of evolutionary history. Oddly enough, the earth has been a pretty good historian, but even better, each individual's genes carry a FAR more detailed history than any individual ever had in their mind or wrote in any book. And not just humans either, but every current living thing. You can't argue with that history. The science of sorting it all out is relatively young, I'll grant you that. But we know the big picture already, it is the smaller details we argue over now. Unless you are a creationist that is.
