What did the rest of the developed world do that was so indicative of being prescient and sound? Is it that the rest of the world selected GSM as opposed to a mix of GSM and CDMA and ... ? Are you suggesting that because the rest of the world comprises a majority, then their model must facilitate to a greater extent the principles defining the n-squared model? And that it follows that it must also be superior? I'm not altogether following your point, especially where causality is concerned. I grant you that there are greater economies achieved, despite having to struggle over how to evolve higher-speed services. But then, suggesting that the greater number of users mitigates the downsides of the choice they've made is like the reasoning lemmings suggest to one another in a mutually consoling way after they've already taken the plunge. In some ways it's a self-serving "might is right", and damned the torpedos claim that you're making, isn't it?
