Gentner Assistive Listening Transmitter Selected for Turner Field

SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Gentner Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:GTNR) today announced its TX-37A Assistive Listening Transmitter has been installed in Turner Field in Atlanta.

The TX-37A Transmitter connects to the stadium sound system and processes audio for persons requesting hearing assistance during Braves baseball games, and other events held at the stadium. The transmitter enhances sound quality to increase audio clarity at louder levels and it eliminates the potential for clipping and overmodulation.

``We have a record of providing dependable, trouble-free assistive listening products at a very reasonable cost,'' said Fran Flood, VP of Sales and Marketing for Gentner Communications Corporation. ``Since the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) went into effect in 1992, we've been working with stadiums, theaters, houses of worship, and corporate America, to provide reliable, cost-effective solutions to accommodate hearing impaired individuals.''

Gentner products are predominately sold through dealers and master distributors. Ancha Electronics of Norcross, Georgia, who has a longstanding relationship with Gentner, installed the products in Turner Field.

Turner Field has been home to the Atlanta Braves since the 1997 baseball season opened in April of this year. Prior to housing the Braves, the stadium was used extensively for the 1996 summer Olympic games.

Gentner Communications Corporation develops and manufactures audio solutions for the broadcast, teleconferencing, and assistive listening markets. Gentner's mission is to help build synergistic relationships between people who are geographically separated by providing customers with total audio solutions. The company has a wide product and service mix featuring telephone in interface products, audioconferencing products, assistive listening systems, and a nationwide conference calling service, 1.800.LETS.MEET(TM).
