I don't suppose the poor energy CEO would make a decision that was in the self interest of himself and his stock holders. A decision that would support the Reps in Congress. No... I suppose the guy would be politically neutral. Right. He would choose the "environment". Yup. Even when his best buds are Cheney and Scalia and they celebrate holidays together. After all, oil men are noted for their honesty. The whole thing stinks. That 'discovery' has taken nearly $5 off the price of crude 3 months before the election at a time when things were already slow as the summer driving season came to an end and the pressure on gas prices was trailing off: quotes.ino.com If the bulk of 'the discovery' proves to be oil, then its legit.......if it turns out to be nat. gas, then its a conspiracy and it stinks badly.
