THE APPEAL BEGINS
Title above and text below in Anthony's own words SI Bob
Dear Folks,
I am sure that everyone is sick of me harping on how innocent I am and so am I.
I will state for the record, one last time, that I broke no laws and I committed no crimes. I never knew about any illegal searches, nor did I ever suspect Royer was lying and breaking the law. I sat through the trial in awe and horror as the truth was perverted, as fiction was spun and perjury was suborned and then embraced.
Throughout the entire affair, the prosecutors managed to have 9-11 and terror mentioned more than 350 times over the 37 day trial. They even managed to drag Zacarias Moussaoui's name into my trial. The prejudice and misconduct was shameless and relentless.
This past March, the Judge noted that Mr. Royer violated his oath of office, and I certainly agree, however at no time prior to my arrest did I ever know that. At no time did Royer ever tell me that any of the things that he disclosed or discussed with me were accessed illegally. This was irrefutably supported by my daily, weekly and monthly reports to my probation officers. (two of the bravest law enforcement officers ever) These officers, from the day of my arrest to the day of the verdicts, have resisted all pressure to "violate me" by the powers that be in New York. In fact, amazingly, my 3 years of probation was completed satisfactorily even though the verdicts {for now} say I committed crimes while on probation. Think about that.
In order for me to be truly guilty, I had to have known that Royer was violating his oath of office, lying to his superiors and breaking the law. I was not violated, I believe, because there was NO evidence presented that even suggested I knew Royer was breaking the law. I hope, pray and firmly believe that I will be vindicated on appeal.
In the meantime I appreciate your time and the opportunity to share my thoughts with you all; thank you so very much. I'd now like to close with the most fitting words of our former President, Abraham Lincoln:
I do the very best I know how - the very best I can; and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out all right, what's said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing I was right would make no difference."
Peace,
Anthony |
