Touché! I did, after all, open the door to the topic, as you very ably point out.

Politics, despite anyone's Utopian views on life, is unavoidable and central to the social enterprise. As such, it is an unavoidable component in just about any discussion that comes up here or elsewhere. I ask only that discussions that are intrinsically political by their nature (or religious, or any other ideological persuasion that lies outside the scope of this forum) - and those that treat the main topics of this forum as sedondary or non-existent - be directed elsewhere. Moving on to your points:

"This implies that it is the unrelegulated US vs the regulated Europe/Japan. This keeps in the minds of the people the idea that US is a free market. This is a myth."

I believe you'd have a difficult time gaining broad consensus on the meanings and the intentions behind terms like: regulated; unregulated; re-regulated; not to mention monopoly; oligopoly; etc. But I believe I understand your point. Who, by the way, are the "people" you're referring to?
