From past experience I'd say that something serious must be off with a professor or the university wouldn't be treating them as noted. Obviously this is only a first impression and would not be used for anything more than message board chatter. I'm sure the university will do a more in depth analysis than I have time for. If he's a good person, I wish him well and hope he isn't wrongly persecuted in some way.
