Look Out World! Here Comes Katie
For years, network news has been on the slide. Viewership is down. Interest is down. Credibility is down.

But it's all okay now, because Katie Couric is on the case. She's going to single handedly turn around the network newscast with her sparkling attitude and her big brown eyes.

You know the story. After allowing Dan Rather, chief anchor and managing editor of the CBS Evening News, to air a patently fraudulent story on Sixty Minutes in the days leading up to the 2004 presidential election, the network that brought us Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite is now turning to perky Katie to save its bacon.

If bringing in Katie proves nothing else, it demonstrates
