Richnorth,
There is no ongoing smoke in Afghanistan Yes I see... the Taliban are figments... Everything will be fine if NATO just pulls out .. right ? Just like after the Soviet Union pulled out... That's your take.... Terrorist training would not set right back up ? Or are you really just an I'm alright Jack kinda person... ?

As to Malaysia...

Yeah your references are impeccable ... my God man... have you no conscience ? Dr. Mohamed Mahathir ... A real sweetie pie...

Relations with the Malay Muslim majority have grown tense in recent months, with many Chinese believing that Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad is playing a dangerous race card. In Indonesia, ethnic Chinese were raped and killed in riots that accompanied the fall of dictator Suharto in 1998.

Gee what a familiar story... Muslim corruption and keeping their own people down with archaic religious mumbo jumbo...

Well many Chinese are fearful there of random Muslim violence that flares up and they become targets... Interesting that like the Jews in Diaspora the Chinese face many similar issues.. And you can't blame Christ's death on them... (re: your reference to Jews as Christ killers) oh maybe those Magi were really Chinese spies... maybe it was a Sino-Hebrew plot ? sigh...

In 1969, ethnic riots fueled by Malay resentment of Chinese dominance in the economy left hundreds dead. Malaysia then instituted a brand of affirmative action that guarantees Malays cheap loans, places in universities and government jobs.

I wonder how the Chinese came to dominate the economy ? Maybe by working and studying hard... and not letting their religious beliefs if any confuse their rational thought process...

I'm starting to think that something about Islam attracts too many folks with a chip on their shoulders... Looking at Muslim countries they all seem to be overwhelmed by systemic problems... not external ones...

In thirty years tell me how much the Arab league has done for displaced Palestians...

Al

EDIT BTW.. in reference to MOST Muslims... very few are in the West... comparitively speaking a drop in the bucket... seems that most Muslims in Malaysia or Indonesia (A heck of a lot) tacitly support violence against non-Muslims....
