"biggest geopolitical conflicts will involve the U.S. against the rest of the developing world" I'm not sure what, exactly, you mean by conflict, but I find disturbing the views that there will be resources out there and the US would send a couple of gunboats and the resources will start coming for free. I don't think this is realistic view of how this thing will develop. Lets just step back and have a closer look at the last time the US did this 3 years ago. See the results and tell me if that's the way to go. A country with USD250 per capita income invaded after a ten year embargo with its people divided due to the dictator they had. This is one thing. Now I don't think it would be a good idea to try that against a modern country with a united people with could just need an invasion to high their resolve.
