<<< The answer seems to be that the bulk of the concrete in the WTC1 & 2 at least was poured over the floor trusses to make a level floor. This was essentially broad, thin, and flat streches of concrete which were easily smashed. >>>

Exactly, great point. Here's a few additional thoughts that might explain why the conspiracy fellows can't understand what they saw after the collapse:

1. The concrete that they made the floor slabs out of is lower strength than normal concrete because it isn't the primary structure of the floor. The joists are the primary structure, the concrete is just there to provide a level surface and it would crumble easily with floor deflection, let alone a collapse.

2. Concrete has low tensile strength while steel has high tensile strength. This is why concrete falls apart in a collapse and steel tends to stay in larger pieces. In that large a collapse, it's very easy to see why concrete crumbled into fairly small pieces.

3. In a collapse, small pieces fall to the bottom of the pile and large pieces (steel) are more evident at the top. The conspiracy guys should think of wheelbarrow full of equal quantities of logs, sticks and gravel. In this example when you dump the wheelbarrow's contents out, the gravel falls through the pile of sticks and logs and ends up on the bottom of the pile. Someone looking at the pile might only notice the logs and sticks.

4. The dust like smaller particles hung in the air and then covered everything with a fine powder. I guess the conspiracy fellows thought that was all of the concrete. they should have looked under the steel or in the pockets between the fallen steel.

5. A lot of the dust was sheet rock dust (gypsum wall board) that they use to make the office walls in the building. You can turn that to dust by squeezing it with your fingers so yes, that stuff made up a lot of the dust that you see emitted from the floors as they collapsed.

All in all, this "the concrete was all pulverized" is a bunch of baloney. It's misinformation spread by people that only look at photos on the internet and don't use common sense, or, are biased enough to ignore common sense.
