The Bush-assassination fantasies like "Death of a President", "Checkpoint", Air America's "jokes", the NY State Controllers mis-speech saying Sen. Schumer would "put a bullet between the President's eyes if he could" etc. - I find shocking. I've never seen anything like this in America in my lifetime. This is KKK-style, fascistic hate-talk.

Clinton was hated by conservatives, but I cannot recall anyone calling for or publicly fantasizing about Clinton's assassination - jokingly or otherwise. Rush Limbaugh mocked and attacked the Clinton's every day Clinton was in the WH - at times stepping over the line of good taste and good judgment, but did he or any other similar figure ever fantasize about Clinton's assassination? I don't remember it. And I think if it had happened, it would have been front page news (kudos to Jacoby for calling attention to this negative feature that has inexpicably been ignored and tolerated) and would have ruined his career, deservedly so.

Why does so much of the left have to be so much more vile and morally depraved (and I think term definitely fits for publicly expressed death wishes) than their opposite numbers? What will be next - will we see American leftwingers chanting "Death to Bush" or "Death to Rumsfeld" like Muslim extremists chant "Death to America", "Death to Rushdie", etc.?

I am shocked and disgusted!
