I find myself banned from the "Polite Political" thread for posting a column from the Boston Globe in my reply to your post. Our host apparently has no tolerance for opinions opposed to her own, even those published in a liberal newspaper with a long record of Pulitzer prize awards.

I am not able to reply on the thread, but my suggestion is that the header be amended to reflect the fact that posters will be banned purely for opinion content that displeases the moderator.

My banning is a trivial matter, yet it does speak to the important topic of intolerance of dissent.

I give you permission to post this private message on the thread if you so choose.

However, we both know that such a post would likely be your last on the thread, so I understand fully if you choose not to post it.
