Even though other people are NOT OK with permitting these cultures to mature, OR make a choice?

Here.. give us an example of how you'll assist the N. Koreans to "mature"?? And what is going to happen if they should "wither and die" because no one bowed to their political extortion. We've (the international community) let matter progress to a situation where everyone is afraid of the potential chaos that will result from N. Korea collapsing.

I'm OK with taking a chance that someday we might have to actually go to war and kill millions of people if nations truly do threaten us....but not till then.

I see.. so you're willing to sacrifice tens, to hundreds, of thousands of Americans THEN for your "pound of cure", but not willing to do what it takes to attempt to attempt to apply an ounce of prevention??

Prior to 9/11, muslims thought that Al Qai'da was an organization that could logically be admired as having taken up the Muslim cause against the "infidels"..

But after what they've done in Iraq, killing thousands of innocent muslims over the past few years with the suicide bombs, we're not seeing nearly the level of support for their philosophy.

I'm sorry cnyndwllr.. I prefer to attempt the ounce of prevention (and maybe a couple of ounces), rather than the pound of cure, represented by a regional/international blood bath to compare with the previous World Wars..

I think our people deserve more than hopes and dreams that the madmen will all just go away and not bother us any more.
