Bingo!! We need to respond to the immediate threats they are making. I was cringing watching the pre 911 movie on tv last night. It showed the cia tracking down Bin Laden in the years before 911. Looks like the reporters found him before the cia could ever make contact. How was that possible??

It was a different world back then. No use in accepting our tolerance of their rhetoric, despite their acts of aggression against targets like the uss cole. I was especially annoyed when we had a chance to move against a compound held by bin laden. It was almost unimaginable to have taken action against him at that point.

Oh well, what can you do but sit back and build better bombs to take him out next time. Going back to the show Future Weapons, they have done a great job redesigning bombs to take out cave networks in Afghanistan and Pakistan. I hope we get a chance to use those against bin laden someday.

I really think the whole tradition of terrorism in the ME demonstrates our need to wipe out the threat before it becomes a problem. If we accept the current threats as reality, it eliminates the ethics pertaining to pre-emptive war.

If the ME will not set tolerable limits for anti defamation, maybe we could pursue international law against individuals or groups that constitute a threat to other people. If they are not brought forth by their own government to justice, they would be immediately turned over the second they left their own countries. Make them prisoners of their own countries, apply economic sanctions, and publish the results.

I think part of the wot is lacking because we have little information about who has already broken the law. Muslims are allowed to enter into any contract that suits the overall interests of Islam, even if they have no intention of honoring the contract. I heard the word the other night as Glenn Beck was talking about the caliphate and last imam. I didn't get a chance to write it down. If you can think of it, please let me know.
