Richard Clarke is the American hero of the Path to 9/11. He's the only one who had the appropriate response to the gathering storm according to the docudrama.

Of course, the MidEastern hero was Massoud. A corrupt man like Saddam Hussein is alive, while a man of courage & principal like Massoud is dead. Hussein is where he belongs, any American is clueless who argues against the wisdom of kicking him out of power.
