Eddie tried to become/ was almost part of the gang. He took very good care of those players. The Niners probably treated the players better than any other team did. They had a lot of class. Which, of course, made guys want to play for them.

And, although not because of worship of all things Niners or anything, a stock I bought for my IRA, maybe 12 years ago, was DeBartolo Corp, which was taken out by Simon Properties, and has done quite well over the years.
