All the ingredients were there for it, just pent-up and waiting. A partition into three parts is the likely outcome (& should not be feared, as it plays out well for both OUR strategic interests, and the interests of the locals.... Don't we support the Democratic right of self-determination any more?)

Sometimes that is about the only way that religious/ethnic/political and financial disputes can be settled for the long-term. (Every part of the world *ain't* Switzerland....)

A foolish and self-defeating position.

But there are better options then being a 'sitting duck' while Iran gathers strength behind our protection:
