I might, except for being a single parent who still needs to bring home the bread ...

I am also calling my Senate representatives hoping to get some changes enacted, no interest so far. In Colorado there is piles of policy labeling what we do as 'accellerating students'. But when you look at the specific verbiage it is all about bringing the low achievers up to average. This comes from the no child left behind policies. There are no special funds or entitlements for students achieving above grade level, which explains why the system didn't get excited by my kid's scores. If there was funding they would be tripping over each other to get her in their programs. The way it is now, they would be much happier if I would agree to just let her do average work with grade level instruction.

Now we have President Bush speaking about how other countries are passing us by in Math, Science, and Technology. That's the future folks, unless we make changes in our system starting with young learners.
