$40 million production cost plus 5 hours of commercial free prime time is a fair chunk of change. There are series that don't cost that much for a season.

I was mostly joking but both Cruise and Spielberg are big supporters of Bush.......and they have the money to bankroll a project like this one.

BTW who said it cost $40 million? That's a lot of money for a tv movie. I would be surprised if it cost 1/4 that number. The biggest named actors are Harvey Keitel and Heaton....both are character actors who are not at the top of their game. I bet it was mostly filmed on sets.....probably in LA or Vancouver.
