Because the Jews choose it and made it so. The land has significance to them no other real estate does.

I do understand that, but I think its a dangerous precident to allow that sort of reclamation. I also see it a bit hypocritical for some to agree that the Jews after hundreds of years can reclaim their land, but not allow the same for others, as in Native Americans. It can even be taken as far as letting African Americans reclaim whatever land they feel they were taken from. Its a big mess....
