Ummm...how do you tell if they're overpriced? Even if you *know* the earnings numbers are going to be miserable, how do you tell how much of that is already priced in? Everybody can point to instances of stocks reporting crappy earnings but immediately jumping up, just like everybody can point to stocks that report excellent earnings but then get beaten up.

"I am not sure of the odds but it seems like you have about a 2 in 3 chance that the stock will go down."

Cool. Tell me (in advance) which stocks you think it applies to and I'll be happy to keep score for you.
