Except that's bad... in this economy, people who drive less shop less and spend less money, not to mention poorer people are penalized by high gas prices.


Actually, it hurt the resorts most.......it was pleasure trips not taken that led to the savings. In fact, sales were up in a lot of the chain stores this summer. Best Buy had a great quarter. Ultimately, its the oil producers like Iran or Iraq that will get hurt the most because the price of crude will come down to some degree. Meanwhile what Americans don't spend on oil they'll spend on other things that benefit this country more.
