Home grown wholesomeness is certainly the better path to health and safety than the risks that come with a middle man handling your food, whether that be corporate america or the foodstand on the corner.

I'm not against forming sound ethics in your personal habbits, and I recommend a skeptical regard toward power, authority, agencies and actions that spring from inhuman order. However, there can also be a radical over reaction to that skepticism that promotes unrealistic fear and damages our ability to live in peaceful coexistence among one another.

Outside of southern California there are many environments in the USA where organic farming would be damaging to the environment and would not be effective in feeding everyone who is hungry. Restricting the production of food in California in a manner that does not allow other people to be fed is unrealistic. California is a provider of foods and a consumer of other goods. We all need to help each other.
