I suppose my next dumb question would be, how would YOU report that there were 62 tortured victims found laying in the streets of Baghdad if you were a reporter assigned to the area?

All news is an illusion, but is there a way to write the story about bodies being found with signs of drills being used on them, that would not manufacture consent?

A kid walked into a school today and began shooting the other kids.

This gets me angry, sad, and bunch of other things.

However, it happened. There are several ways to spin it and each way would still have me feel these ways.

It just sucks.

Illusion or not.
