"Ya think they are using the Iranian oil profits to contribute to the Republican party?"

Look at the available evidence. We know that Cheney has had dealings at a high level with Iran. When he headed Halliburton, the company had several dodges to get around the trade embargo. And remember Chalabi? Even after we discovered he was more interested in carrying Iran's water than doing anything for Iraq or the US, he is still our good buddy. And who has benefitted the most out of our invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq? Iran. Toppling Saddam was a big win for Iran. They had spent hundreds of millions of dollars and tens of thousands of lives and didn't come anywhere close. But we came in, did the job, and not only did it not cost them anything, they stand to pick up most of the oil producing area of Iraq. And the list go one, everything from strengthening the mullahs hold with that "Axis of Evil" to goading Israel to being stupid in Lebanon. Driving the price of oil up through the uncertainties introduced in that region has been a big win for Iran also. Everything has resulted in a stronger and more entrenched Iran at our and everyone else's expense.

Now traitors, and can you describe them as anything else?, generally have some motive. Usually money. So there has to be a trail somewhere...
