Things just keep getting stranger and stranger. Huge volume today (almost 400,000), bid up one cent (Whoa Nellie!). Dan has a new message (or should I say a new recording, same old message. Don't blame Dan though, he can only pass on information that Wincom gives to him). Tried calling Wincom directly today, and someone answered the phone as "Fidelity Merchant Capital". And no, it wasn't the wrong number. They put me in to Richard Wade's voice mail, who is the senior VP and COO of Wincom. Anybody know what's up with that? Are they sharing offices, or are they somehow affiliated with Wincom? Also started reading some old press releases. The one on April 14, 1997 which discussed the senior management reorg mentioned that Ted Tarr "formerly vp of marketing, will head the security industry program as vp of the business unit". When I looked at the Eon site (Eon Corporation is the company in Virginia that Wincom is jointly sharing licences with), there is mention on Sept 5, 1996 that Ted Tarr was appointed "senior vp and COO of Eon Corp (formerly senior vp of marketing and sales operations)". So does that mean that Mr. Tarr left Eon to go to Wincom? No, because Mr. Tarr isn't in LA, he's still in Virginia with Eon. Does that mean that Wincom now owns Eon or that they are a joint entity? I don't know. Hopefully someone can shed some light. Also went way back to research the 50% acquisition of RTT (Radio Telecom & Technology) by Wincom announced March 14, 1996. In their web site, they have installed IVDS equipment in Boston and Houston, and have firm orders to deliver their system to IVDS licensees in eight major US markets. Also says that it was negotiating an agreement to sell its equipment for installation in approximately 100 more markets in exchange for 50% equity in its company. The customer? You guessed it, Wincom. It also states that WIN agreed to build its IVDS markets with RTT's technologies and Win told RTT it intends to pay RTT for every system with cash prior to delivery. WIN also agreed to arrange a capital infusion to RTT, possibly by assisting RTT in an IPO. See pe.net , pe.net , or pe.net for more information. Now granted the RTT newsletters and press releases are dated way back in March of 1996. My question is what became of the Wincom/RTT deal? Did it go through? Is there still an agreement between the companies? Does Wincom still own 50% interest in RTT? Has the buildout started? Did RTT get their capital infusion? Is Wincom helping RTT with an IPO? Sorry I'm full of questions but out of answers today. Hopefully some of you or Dan can shed some light. The guys at Wincom won't call me back. They probably think I'm too hard on Raoul. Gator |
