Contrarian Investing in Sector On the stock sectors that we monitor, we have learned that a good timing indicator for doing a contrarian investing in the sector is when ALL stocks followed in the sector have reached an oversold condition in terms of the William%R (14) indicator. The gold and silver sector is now in that condition. Our method is to invest an equal dollar amount in each of the stocks in the sector. If the portfolio as a whole goes 5% against us, we repeat the process.
