Need printer advice or help

For several years my Hewlett Packard DeskJet 855C has done everything I need. I don't print a lot.

However, it seems that the little ink tubes that take ink to the paper from the cartridge are plugged. A new cartridge does not help and when I do the software printer priming services ink seems to pile up in the cartridge holder in the printer itself. Ink is not getting from the cartridge to the paper.

Has anyone tried to unplug these little tubes? What kind of solvent to use? How about compressed air? Any repair suggestions are welcome.

If repair not feasible will probably purchase a new all-in-one unit that prints and scans and copies. Any suggestions on a unit suitable for light home use that is not the most expensive?

Thanks
