Another person might be comfortable saying since their behaviour caused me to curse, it don't count. That's what I was trying to state.
Same as what I was trying to state. A sin is a sin. Leniency with one's self doesn't make it not a sin. Having an excuse doesn't make it less a sin. I don't think we differ.
Let's say I swore at a driver or two or 30 this morning for various behaviours on the highway that I find inconsiderate, dangerous, or whatever.
From my libertarian, free-thinking perspective, I don't know that I would consider yelling at some bad driver a sin, but it sure isn't constructive. But if you're really wrought up about it while you're driving, you could potentially do something that would, indeed, hurt someone, which would be a sin, sort of like driving drunk would be a sin. So I guess it's the hostility and lack of self control potentially leading to reckless disregard that I would consider the bad act, not the cursing.
your sin list is someone's summary of some of these entries.
Should I infer from your "some" that you suspect that the list is incomplete? It's awfully long to not be complete.
If one is working off a list like that, I can see where one might sin every day. If offending someone or worrying is a sin, or loving life or this world, or not deferring to someone simply because he is older, or not visiting any prisoner, sin is next to impossible to avoid. |
