Disposable income isn't going up. If a gallon of gas cost $1.50 2 years ago and $2.50 today and your wages are the same your standard of living went down.

Earth to Tim... people live paycheck to paycheck and they can't eat what it costs their employer for health insurance. There are real people out there trying to make ends meet and they don't give a damn about your semantics or your spreadsheets.
