I sign off for a few hours and all of you slam Peter before I have a chance.

While I agree this is a dead cat that landed on the balcony below, I really think the cat has been dead for a long time and does smell quite bad right now. All we have to do is wait until someone notices the dead smelly cat on the floor below and it will be booted off. In other words, the decomposition has already occurred.

I would now like to take a poll. If we are on the 31st floor, and the dead cat is on the 30th floor, what balcony will this cat land on next once our downstairs neighbor comes home and boots the poor dead smelly cat off his balcony (lets call the cat Fred for now). My guess is that Fred lands on the 22nd floor for a few days (Amerindo's balcony) but even he will come home and kick the thing off once he smells how rotten it has become. This time it will make it to the ground.

22 then 0. Anyone else have a guess?
