Probably depends on who did the refilling ... I have happily been using IMS Refill System for several years. Costs ~$18 at Costco, package contains 3 80 ml black, 1 each 80ml Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Photo Cyan and Photo Magenta.

After first couple times you will become accomplished enough to keep any mess to a minimum and they are a real money saver. Old cartridges are good for 8-12 refills ... biggest trick is to refill BEFORE you have run dry which renders it unsatisfactory for a good refill.

IMS claims one of the above packages good for 12 HP56 Black refills and 14 HP57 refills ... I have not maintained an accurate refill count but can state its definitely enough to be cost effective.

PS These refills are compatible with most commonly used cartridges.
