Sure, well sort of sure. What I know, by self evidence, is that I am human and as such I was born within the bounds of a certain condition that most of us recognize as 'the human condition.' It didn't come from the Quran, Bible, Bagadavita, Tibetan Book of the Dead, I Ching, a deck of Tarot cards, Humanist creed, confusism, or any worldly message. However, as I study the messages of wise persons or the wisedom of books and scripture, I can confirm the truth of goodness and of the struggles with which we are all bound in this life.
One thing I am not bound to is any religious authority as a group or to any one representatitive in particlular in this world, all of which I consider corrupted. Nor am I bound to answer to or for any of them. First and formost, "To thine own self be true." |
