9/15/06 Update
The Nasdaq Biotech Index gained a bit for the week, closing Friday off -5.41% YTD (vs. -6.77% YTD at its 9/8/06 close). The Charity Contest portfolios' median was also up slightly for the week, closing down -6.50% YTD (vs. down -7.07% YTD at its 9/8/06 close). At Friday's close, 11 of the 40 Charity Portfolios were in the black YTD and 19 of the 40 portfolios were outperforming the NBI.
In the neck on neck race between Wilder and RKRW for first place, Wilder managed to pull ahead by a nose at Friday's close. And, according to my spreadsheet, Wilder's portfolio was up 31.52% YTD vs. 31.29% for RKRW's portfolio.
(I changed DPII's symbol to INFI and adjusted the numbers for the 1-4 split. I also changed the EPIXD symbol to EPIX. Looking at my spreadsheet, I realized that I've been using the NTP.L takeover price to calculate its value in Nigel's portfolio. Should I reallocate this money?)
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
