I agree with you. That was my point. When something good happens in corporations or politics, everyone always says it was the previous guy who laid the foundation for that success. Or vice versa if something bad happens. It's a silly argument and is a misdirection of responsibility. I liken that to people from Harlem or LA murdering someone and then saying it's not their fault because they grew up in a brutal, hostile environment, which predisposed them to be murderous. Maybe so, but I'll be damned if I absolve anyone of their responsibility for their own actions.
