I know from reading a lot of your posts on SI that you are not an instigator or trouble maker. In fact, you have an excellent writing style that is consistently reality based. I've seen you keep your head even when those you are talking with have lost theirs & are trying their best to drag you into the gutter with them.

But the problem is that you have no fear of talking it up on faux "centrist" & obvious leftist threads. And despite their oft repeated mantra that they are all about free speech, tolerance & diversity of thought, they are the polar opposite of each of those traits. That's why they can assert that Bush is so divisive with a straight face.

These folks lost it in 2000 when Bush "stole" the election & it's been downhill ever since. With each tick of the clock since then another leftist has lept off the cliff like a lemming into the dark abyss of madness. In their minds they are still the same libs they were during the halcion glow of the Clinton Goldilocks daze. The reason we use words like groupthink, cocoon, cult, cloistered, etc., to describe their groups is because they simply can't deal with the current reality. They chose to gather in like minded groups where they were safe in their alternate universe.

Dealing with you caused them to face reality. The same inverted thinking that also them to falsely claim Bush is divisive allowed them to ban you or put you on ignore, then blame it completely on your courteous.... 'er... inappropriate behavior. Thus the dramatic uptick in ignores & bans.
