you've got to be kidding.

Broadcom is the most successful chip startup of the past 10 years. Who would you like to see taking the place of BRCM management here... the former execs of JDSU or extreme networks?

How about Terry Semel who took over yahoo to the tune of 300mm dollars per year in compensation only for yahoo to get its butt kicked into irrelevance by Google? (Terry Semel actually makes MORE than the Google CEO!)

Apple has one of these options squabbles, and they have always been a fine upstanding company... shall we shut everybody down over this?

Shareholders have every option (sic) to walk away. Why not do that? This is a good mgmt team. I don't care about stock options and the bizarre claim that standard operating procedure is now illegal and criminal. As long as they follow the rules going forward thats fine with me, as soon as somebody can figure out just WHAT the rules are.
