We're watching the freight train barrel down on us, we love life and want to live, yet we don't just step out of the way. What is wrong with this country and our leaders? It's really simple. The "special interests" own the politicians, and subsequently the agenda. And the biggest special interest is the energy companies. The most profitable companies in the US; and the ones that have the most to lose from "conservation". Their quarterly profits would plummet. We are talking $Billions, enough to buy the Congress and Senate ten times over. Real serious money. Money to die or kill for without a second thought. You tell me how to fight these guys. I'm as perplexed as you are.
