OT - and I beg Peter's forgiveness - it's all well and good to be anti PC and call a spade a spade, but Benedict's foray into Islam's contribution to religious violence and intolerance was unbelievably insensitive - not because I personally disagree with the characterization, but because it deepens the chasm between the west and Islam. Political correctness is a mindless flight to conformity, usually, but in this instance it would have been the prudent approach. What on earth did he have in mind?
