Ohhh, my. You should have been a neurologist. The term is Commisurectomy, but the symptoms sure fit. That's uncanny. I really have to hand it to you.

Corpus Collosum

The corpus collosum (CC) is a mylelinated bunch of fibers that runs between the two hemispheres of the brain. It is vital for communication between the hemispheres.

Commisurectomy, or the severing of the corpus collosum, causes discrepancies between perception, comprehension and response (Lezak, 1995 in De Bellis, 1999). This can possibly encompass dissociative symptoms exhibited by an individual that suffered childhood maltreatment. Dissociative symptoms defined as "disruptions in the usually integrated functions of consciousness memory, identity, or perception of the environment that interferes with the associative integration of information" (Putnam, 1997, in De Bellis, 1999) De Bellis et al. found that total CC area correlated negatively with scores on the Child Dissociative Checklist.
