Peter, I've always thought we should keep investing in the technology. If "MAD" is that $60 Billion boondoggle they're putting in Alaska, then I agree with you that it's stupid.

I think if the Russians or Chinese launched against us we would respond in kind and just our Nuke Subs would be able to pretty much decimate them.

Peter, you knocked me on another thread about our giving a contract to Raytheon rather than than going with the already existing "Trophy" technology. You said the Israeli's weren't using it on their tanks, but I think they've said since then that they would put it on their tanks after their experience in Lebanon. You attacked me as if I were some sort of "adversary" rather than a fellow just wanting our troops to have the best lifesaving defense possible. WHY would you come at me like I was trying to undermine our military or something, rather than just responding to me directly and expressing your viewpoint? NBC was the source of that report, not me. They say Raytheon won't have a viable system ready until 2011. A LOT of our guys will probably be killed by RPG'S by 2011. Could we try and cut through the red tape and have Raytheon and the Israeli firm work TOGETHER to get that technology into the field quicker?
