Good post. As you say, the Dems are anything but perfect but you are never going to a strong move towards energy independence from the Reps. And, as you also say, it's the one issue that can resolve so many other issues.

It's not black and white... we don't have to be 100% energy independent, but the farther we move to that goal the better off we will be. The benefits start accruing as soon as we get off our ass and start to end our glutinous ways.
