This decades old unverified rumour is that if Israel ever is being overrun in a military conflict, it will unleash their nuclear arsenal and take down everybody including themselves.
This idea is not a mere some thing based only in modern times thought but is based on Masada.
For those that do not know of Masada, know that it is perhaps the singlemost important mindset of many Israeli Jews.
The Mosad draw their very mame from Masada.
In short Israel i believe have a policy of we will NEVER accept defeat, ever, under any circumstance.
There is archeytpal energy in the past event of Masada.

A recent example was sheer power of the archetypal energy of the idea of Gotterdammarung included in the rise of Aryan Fascism in Germany and that is the way it ended: the ending was preordained, it was to be victory or Gotterdammarung.
For Zionist, many have embedded within them the premise of Masada, but with a twist; that being if they are faced with defeat they will take everything around them down with them, rather then surrender.
At Massada the surviving Hebrews had a choice of surrender or destroy ourselves. They chose death to surrender.
But at Masada they did not have the Nuclear Bomb Option; however, Israel does, and many many times over.
It has been rumoured since 1967, that Israel has had this policy of, if ever a time comes, and they are being over-run and going down to defeat, at that moment they will unleash their nuclear weapons.
