Bush was warned on 8-6-01 and did nothing. He also disbanded Clinton's very effective anti Al Qaida operation and did not replace it. He also coddled Saudis in the US and called off FBI surveillance of them. All this allowed 9-11 to happen. If Gore had been president, he would have had Richard Clarke and others watching the situation much more closely, as they did in 1999 when they stopped the LAX bombing attempt.

Under Bush, Al Qaida and its allies have grown much stronger and more entrenched, and Bush's so-called ally Pakistan is now officially protecting Osama and his crew with a new truce and promise not to bother him in his stronghold. This after Bush paid Pakistan 2 billion dollars in 2002.
