Hi Pearly_Button; Yes, the building codes have been adjusted as a result of the collapse of the WTC buildings.

By the way, to weapons designers, tall buildings are basically targets. If you really want to feel unsafe in one, try reviewing the gun camera footage from the Iraq invasion showing how well even 5 story buildings survive being hit with a cruise missile.
