My hubby and I are both fairly good cooks. My husband's family owned and operated a restaurant and bar in this area from 1929 till they sold it in the 80's ( drunk driving laws were getting too stringent and they didn't want to get sued or involved in a lawsuit. The bar was the hottest place around and I could tell you some wild stories about life in the bar business. Just went to a baby shower today for the son of my husband's chief bouncer........he went on to be a local defensive football coach after getting his MS at Long Beach State............he paid his way through college by working as a bouncer in a Long Beach Massage Parlor. We're talkin TOUGH here! :>)
