Nixon got caught red-handed and was about to be impeached and removed from office. This after his VP had been indicted for bribery. But Bush-Cheney are a far worse bunch. They may not have learned anything from Vietnam, but they learned from Nixon. The primary lesson, don't let them investigate and confess nothing. The GOP congress has been stonewalling a dozen different impeachable investigations since 2002. That's why we've turned into some kind of quasi fascist state now. There are no checks and balances whatsoever outside a few brave prosecutors like the one who nailed Delay in Texas. We basically have government withjout ethics now. Without laws or decency.
