If the collapse of the building was normal, why did not anyone want to look at the rubble and check where things went wrong?

Building construction standards authorities would have wanted to go over it with a fine toothed comb.

As it happened all the evidence was sealed off and carted away, and nobody was allowed to inspect it.

Don't think that's a bit odd in the light of the fact it collapsed at near free fall velocity???
