Tom that was 32 words out of a 3,926. I read the whole speech and thought it impressive. I even understood it. :-) Even those few exceptional words, quoted from another, would be considered accurate by many. Mohammed in his early period stopped the ritual sacrifice of children to gods. I affirm that - it was good. So saying every thing he did was evil and inhuman errs. But Islam has brought about evil. Shia kill sunni - sunni kill shia. Each views it as a religious obligation to kill the heretic. It is also viewed by many in Islam a duty to kill Jews who are justified as a priority kill since they will not convert. The justification may be a pretext but it works for them. Christians should be killed too if you can't get them to convert. The evil of Islam is not just abroad. Here in St. Louis a Christian Congregation of Arabs is frequently defaced and the Christian Arabs live in fear of Moslem Arabs living here. One Arab-moslem who converted to Christianity here feared her own mother would kill her and had to go into hiding. So the issue of evil is not limited to the Pope's observations of the 14th century. ij
